6th of July

5th of July

Second day of the videoshoot for ' The Shovel' by Convoj. Go check them out on Myspace. It's supercatchy indierock. You will surely appreciate them if you'd like The Rapture combined with... a better version of Mando Diao maybe?

It was considerably earlier and colder than the previous day, and it was also going to be a lot more tedious. Stopmotion is a lot of work. Shooting every part of the song, with every bandmember seperately, from different angles, just in pictures. Especially the vocals took long. The lyrics were written out phonetically and every sound needed a seperate picture. Times 4 different angles. Think we were there from 10 to 10. But there was coffee, salad, crisps, we had our laptop with us... I managed.

'

My man used to be in the circus. Always happy to show off some tricks.

We went for a short walk around the harbor and we saw a crab! That was relatively exciting.

But we had to stay close to the set in case they needed Daniel. Yup, quite boring at times.

Finally finished. I'm really curious as to how the video will turn out!

We got home around 23.00 and I mentioned I was craving for some McDonalds.
'What do you want from McDonalds?'
'Oh I could eat 3 burgers and a large fries, that's how hungry I am.'
Then he turned around and said he'd be back in half an hour. And he doesn't like McDonalds himself. I know that he is the most amazing guy in the world but he still keeps surprising me.

My feet after this weekend; still wearing my sandals. The sunburn is gradually getting better but still so annoying. And I look ridiculous, especially my shoulders and back. Lesson learnt, bought SPF 50 now.

What have you been up to this weekend?

4th of July

We were going to an island to shoot the video for 'The Shovel' by Convoj. It was really nice weather so at the moments that they didn't need Daniel we went for a swim in the sea.

The video is going to be a stop-motion video, recorded in a hangar at the harbor. It takes two days to shoot. I'm there right now, sitting on a dirty floor blogging about yesterday. Except today the weather is not so nice. Maybe that's a good thing cause I'm really badly sunburnt from yesterday.

3rd of July

After Daniel came home from work we went to the lake. Such a stunning view.

1st of July

Soooo yesterday afternoon I finally arrived back in Gothenburg. Of course Daniel was waiting for me at the airport. I was so so so happy to see him again. We didn't let go of each other until the arrivals hall was nearly empty.

When we got home I was hungry and there was really nothing to eat except some knäckebröd, so we went somewhere to have falafel and then get some foodstash. The kind of groceryshopping that requires a cart. We realised this was the first time in our 7 month relationship that we used a cart in the supermarket. Milestone.

In a world of OLW crisps, all I need to make me happy is 2 giant bags of Estrella.

On the way to Convoj rehearsal we stopped by the Gothenburg memorial place for MJ: his star at the themepark Liseberg (he rented the whole park for a day so he could hang around there with a Swedish child actor). Made a drawing on the tram when we went there; I didn't want to show up empty handed and I'm too cheap to buy flowers.

Convoj rehearsal... Sat outside at the fire escape cause the rehearsalroom was like a sauna. I had a nice view on the highway and we also brought the laptop. That's usually enough to satisfy me.

Todays outfit. Sweaty crankenstein. Dress and sandals are both from H&M (wow I swear that hardly ever happens) and EF bag.

ppfftfftttf

Ok you guys, i must admit it's pretty damn hot outside.
Cant seem to get the heat out of my house.

No, I will never ever get a tan.

I'm packing my suitcase for real this time. Just went into town to do some last shoppings in the Dutch final sales, before feasting on the Swedish ones (well, without spending too much money of course).

Can't wait til I get to Gothenburg tomorrow. It'll be the first time in over a month Daniel and I will get some real 'you and me time'. I've missed him more than I ever deemed possible. We still have to celebrate my birthday and our 7 month anniversary, which we both missed cause he was out touring.

By the way, looking at my list of June-posts, I must conclude I've been blogging more than ever this month. Hope it's all still enjoyable.

Sunshine Cleaning

Elke is carrying this season's absolute must-have; the EF-tote bag! ;)

Yesterday was my last night in Amsterdam for now. When I come back in two months, Elke will have moved back to Belgium. Kind of sad, it was really nice to have her here. We went to see Sunshine Cleaning, I really liked that movie!

I'm wearing an old black blazer that I put shoulder pads in.
I'm so obsessed with shoulderpads right now.

Moise festival

Rosa and Julien had to play at Moise festival, a free festival in a suburb of Amsterdam. We had a really great day, even though it was often a bit cloudy and sometimes a bit TOO warm. The festival looked so nice!

Rosalie, Jules and Rosa

Rosa and Vrederick

Nice vegan foodstall, we had amazing homemade fries there and vegan macaroni.

Guitars grow from trees here!

Rosa and I, wayfarin'. These two were taken by Vrederick.

Cute little kids watching the show, clapping and dancing.

The past 24h in pictures

The obligatory MJ post

Goodbye Jacko, loved you as much as you loved kids.

Man, I was really looking forward to those comeback gigs.
